    The realities we faced after February 24th have significantly impacted business training. In the first half of the year, many leaders and training and development (T&D) managers paused their activities, analyzing how events would unfold and what decisions would be best made for staff development. Some companies continued long-term employee development projects, but the launch of new initiatives became rare. In an environment of uncertainty, it is important to adapt approaches to training and development to effectively respond to changes and maintain competitiveness.

    Budget implementation usually occurs at the end of the year, and this also applies to employee training costs. As a result, in the second half of the year, we began to more clearly observe changes in training demands.

    The first trend in training is that it should be aimed at solving current business problems. Long-term strategic planning is becoming increasingly challenging, and companies are faced with the need to quickly address a variety of issues. Amidst personnel changes, complicated procurement conditions due to sanctions, and rising costs, training employees and managers to effectively respond to these situations is becoming a critical business requirement. A focus on practical skills and adaptability will help companies remain competitive and successfully navigate the challenges of today's market. One manufacturing company initially planned to launch a talent pool development project this year. However, after the announcement of a partial mobilization, management decided to postpone the program, focusing on immediate needs. Therefore, our team is developing a short-term program focused on decision-making under resource constraints. Given the workload of employees, in-person meetings are difficult to organize, so the program will include a series of small online events. This will allow participants to effectively master the necessary skills and adapt to changing conditions.

Instead, a coach can help the team analyze work issues and independently develop new approaches. They also teach managers how to effectively interact with employees, transforming directive leadership into a dialogue that promotes active participation and the unleashing of the potential of each team member. Training in hard skills, such as programming, data analytics, and financial skills, remains a priority for organizations seeking to maintain competitiveness and improve the effectiveness of their teams. Organizing in-person training requires a significant investment of time and money, making it less attractive for businesses. However, many employees still value the opportunity to meet in person. When the client organizes such events, participants are actively willing to participate. Personally, I believe that the opportunity to gather "in person" helps increase employee loyalty to the company and strengthens team spirit.

These are primarily events for top managers—strategic sessions where company leaders have the opportunity to meet face-to-face, share experiences, and discuss current issues with industry colleagues. Such meetings foster valuable professional connections and deepen understanding of current trends. Examples from completely different fields are particularly engaging, such as when a retail expert shares his experience with employees of an industrial company. Such interdisciplinary interactions promote broadening of perspectives and the introduction of innovative approaches to work. An outside perspective can inspire training participants to come up with creative solutions and original ideas that they can adapt and implement within their own organizations. Sharing experiences and fresh perspectives fosters innovation and increased efficiency.

    It's important to include visits to other companies as part of training. A business coach can select companies of interest to the client and arrange collaboration. During such an event, it's recommended to include tours of production facilities and interviews with specialists and managers. These activities help broaden the participants' horizons and deepen their understanding of business processes.

    A recent project I'd like to highlight is a training marathon in the form of a chatbot. This tool provides participants with tasks and tests their knowledge on a specific topic. We can quickly track training effectiveness, making the process more manageable. Chatbots are a versatile solution for training employees of various categories, and they are especially effective for mass training. Using this approach allows you to optimize time and resources, as well as increase the level of involvement of participants.

It's also important to maintain professionalism under any circumstances. I've seen colleagues lose their professional approach and allow personal emotions to influence their work. This, in my opinion, is unacceptable and negatively impacts results. A professional business coach must be prepared for various challenges and be able to maintain a high level of quality in their services. It's important for a coach not only to manage their own emotions but also to understand the emotional state of training participants. If they experience anxiety or tension, this can significantly reduce their ability to absorb new information. In such cases, brain resources are expended on overcoming emotional discomfort, making training less effective. To address this issue, a coach can use a variety of methods, depending on the specific situation. Sometimes, an engaging warm-up session is enough to relieve tension; in other cases, it may be necessary to openly discuss participants' emotions and provide them with tools to manage their state. This will create a more productive learning atmosphere and improve information retention.

    The psychological component plays a key role in a trainer's work. Without understanding the client's psychology, a trainer becomes a soulless implementer, simply transmitting pre-prepared material. An effective trainer must consider emotional and psychological aspects to create a trusting atmosphere and motivate clients. This not only improves training results but also makes the process more comfortable and productive for clients. Understanding psychology helps trainers tailor their approaches to each individual, which increases the overall effectiveness of the training process.

    Since the pandemic, the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions, even if they cause discomfort, has become critical. Not all trainers are ready to adapt, master new methods, and apply current technologies. This often applies even to successful specialists who continue to work according to outdated models, ignoring radical changes in the industry. As a result, such trainers risk losing their relevance and becoming irrelevant in the market. Adapting to new trends and continuous learning are becoming essential for a successful career in the sports industry.

    The past three years have seen many changes unseen for two decades. It's important to recognize these transformations and embrace them. If you're willing to learn, challenge yourself, and find the inner resources for growth, this will be a significant step forward. Developing skills and adapting to new conditions opens up new opportunities and promotes personal growth.
