Don't overlook Polygraph. This unique conceptual school was famous for its outstanding teachers who left a significant mark on our minds and hearts. The experience and knowledge imparted at this school remain relevant and in demand, shaping high educational standards and influencing the future of students.

The project is based on the work of Vladimir Andreevich Favorsky, a renowned teacher and rector of VKHUTEMAS and later the Moscow Printing Institute. This design pays homage to his unique decorative solutions for title designs, emphasizing the significance of his contribution to art and education.

I chose the woodcut technique because Favorsky devoted a lot of time to studying it. At our institute, we mastered various printmaking techniques, including wood carving. I hadn't picked up a graver for a long time, but when the opportunity arose, I decided to immerse myself in this fascinating practice. Woodcuts allow you to create unique images and convey emotional depth through texture and line. This experience became an important stage in my creative development.

This project has become a true source of inspiration for me. Working with the material by hand brings pleasure, and the awareness of the simplicity and significance of the idea makes the process even more exciting. It is especially gratifying to see how my idea has sparked interest among my classmates, who have also inspired me to be creative.

Creating a brand for the Arctic culture festival in Teriberka

On the course Students in the Communication Design program at the HSE School of Art and Design in St. Petersburg are creating large-scale projects, including identities for cultural institutions. Anastasia Progatskaya chose a unique festival for her project, which will take place in the picturesque village of Teriberka on the Barents Sea coast. This festival will be a significant event for the region, promoting cultural development and attracting tourists. Students learn to apply their knowledge in practice, creating visual concepts that will help the festival stand out and attract the attention of a wider audience.

Anastasia, a student at the HSE School of Art and Design, shares her roots and connections to the Murmansk region: “The North is my small homeland. This year marks 10 years since we moved from the capital of the Arctic. I am actively exploring my native region, exploring its cultural and historical aspects.” This desire to understand her cultural heritage inspired Anastasia to create a unique project dedicated to Teriberka. By exploring this topic, she reveals the richness and diversity of the local culture, making her project relevant and in-demand.

The inspiration for our project came from a short trip to Murmansk, where I was particularly impressed by the picturesque landscapes of Teriberka. This place left a deep impression on me, and I decided to create a project that would reflect its unique beauty and atmosphere. Teriberka, known for its dramatic landscapes and majestic coastline, became the ideal basis for the implementation of creative ideas. We strive to convey all the nuances of this amazing region's nature in our project to highlight its amazing features and cultural heritage.

During the process of creating visual solutions, Anastasia considered many ideas. One of the proposed options was to use typography in which all words began with the letter "T": "Tundra - Trails - Tourism - Teriberka." However, this approach was not implemented, as it did not correspond with the overall concept of the project.

Choosing the color palette was a true art. Anastasia rejected the traditional monochrome shades characteristic of northern design and was inspired by the vibrant colors she noticed in Teriberka. She photographed the textures and facades of local houses to create a palette reflecting the unique atmosphere of this region. This approach not only conveys the spirit of the place but also brings bright accents to the interior, creating harmony between nature and design.

The logo is designed with an emphasis on the shifted letter "T", symbolizing reflection in water. This design references the picturesque waterscapes of Teriberka, highlighting its natural beauty. This approach not only creates a unique visual image but also avoids confusion with other well-known brands, making the logo easily recognizable and memorable.

The festival's signature pattern consists of stripes symbolizing the horizon, which is completely consistent with the slogan: "From horizon to horizon." This minimalist design not only emphasizes the main idea of the event, but also refers to the traditions of the Russian avant-garde, giving the concept a special authenticity.

Andy Martin, curator of the Communication Design program at the HSE School of Art and Design, as well as a graphic designer and art director at ODB, emphasizes the importance of depth in design. He notes: “I always tell students: “Don’t limit yourself to beauty, strive for cultural depth!” In this project, I noticed Anastasia's persistence in finding a unique visual solution among a multitude of alternatives."

Andy emphasizes that such projects represent a profound exploration of visual language. They create a bridge between the curator's artistic vision and the students' creative abilities. These initiatives not only contribute to the development of individual skills but also foster unique dialogues between participants, expanding their horizons of artistic perception.

Working at the bureau gives Andy the opportunity to analyze contemporary issues and effectively guide students in developing unique cultural projects. This collaboration fosters creative thinking and enables the discovery of innovative solutions that have a significant impact on society. Andy uses his acquired knowledge and experience to implement relevant ideas in projects, which helps students realize their creative ambitions and contribute to cultural development.

Ekaterina Semenova is an experienced product designer who was commissioned by MR Group to develop a unique outdoor collection for the improvement of the residential complexes "By the River. Eco Vidnoe 2.0". This collection is aimed at creating a comfortable and aesthetically attractive urban environment that meets modern environmental and design requirements. Ekaterina's designs are distinguished by their functionality and harmony with the surrounding landscape, making them ideal for residential complexes that strive for high standards of quality and comfort.

The main goal was to develop a compact and expressive collection that combines functionality and aesthetics. The designer aimed for each element to convey the image of a wave, but production constraints required a more realistic approach. As a result, a balance was achieved between original concept and practicality, resulting in unique products that meet user needs and attract attention with their design.

The collection has become an example of industrial design, in which technology and materials interact organically. The process of creating a full-fledged prototype took only approximately 7 hours, demonstrating the high efficiency of the production process.

The shape and texture of the products evoke associations with knitting and weaving, emphasizing the concept of the "Connection" project. This project clearly demonstrates how functional objects can serve not only utilitarian functions but also become expressive elements of art. The designers strive to demonstrate that every detail can be aesthetically pleasing and meaningful, contributing to a cultural context. The pieces in the "Connection" project create a unique dialogue between practicality and artistic expression, making them particularly valuable both in everyday life and in the art world. Blue shades are used to create a harmonious wave-like image and complement the residential complex's embankment location. This versatile color palette maintains its brightness throughout the year. Large-format 3D printing allows for the adaptation of pieces to various design concepts, opening up new possibilities for space design and creating a unique style. Furniture made from recycled materials ensures the project's sustainability and eco-friendliness. The plastic used is highly durable and resistant to temperature fluctuations, guaranteeing the durability and reliability of the pieces. This approach helps reduce the negative impact on the environment and supports the principles of sustainable development. By choosing such furniture, you not only receive high-quality and durable products, but also contribute to environmental protection.

Ekaterina's research demonstrated the active development of 3D printing technologies in Russia. Many talented specialists work with a variety of materials, such as ceramics and concrete. Visiting production facilities allowed her to delve deeper into the specifics of large-format 3D printing, where layered structures play a key role in shaping the aesthetic perception of objects. 3D printing technologies open new horizons in architecture and design, allowing the creation of unique and functional solutions.

Identity of the Moscow International House of Music: New Aesthetics for Cultural

Opened in 2002, the Moscow International House of Music (MIHM) is an outstanding example of Luzhkov-era architecture. This unique complex, shaped like a musical note with a weathervane in the shape of a treble clef, was designed by renowned artist Zurab Tsereteli. The MIHM is one of the world's leading philharmonic centers, offering a variety of musical events and high-quality performances. Its distinctive architecture and cultural significance make it a key Moscow landmark.

The MIHM is not only a venue for symphony concerts but also an important cultural center, hosting conferences, forums, festivals, and performances. Despite its significance, this institution lacked a clearly defined visual style. This inspired designer Petya Izmailov to develop a unique identity for the MIHM.

Russia has numerous cultural spaces in need of renewal and modernization. The rebranding of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMDM) is an ambitious project that requires a professional team for successful implementation. Working with government agencies often presents various challenges, but I am committed to actively developing this idea in collaboration with my colleagues. The renovation of cultural spaces will not only attract the attention of a wider audience, but will also create new opportunities for the development of art and culture in the country.

Tourism Promotion Campaign in the Ivanovo Region

The Dotorg agency developed an original positioning and visual identity for the Visit Ivanovo advertising campaign, which aims to promote local tourism in Russia. The Ivanovo region, known for its picturesque landscapes and rich historical heritage, is an ideal destination for short weekend trips. Explore the unique sights and enjoy the atmosphere of this region, which attracts tourists with its culture and natural beauty.

Ivanovo chintz is not just a fabric, but an important part of the region's cultural heritage. Each city in the region is a unique canvas, capturing its features and history. The visual concept of the marketing campaign is based on vibrant illustrations that reflect landmarks and cultural symbols, creating a recognizable style for each city. This not only helps preserve traditions, but also draws attention to the uniqueness of the Ivanovo region, promoting its popularity as a tourist destination. Ivanovo chintz is not only textile, but also history that continues to live and develop.

Every year we implement one significant creative project pro bono. Recognizing that festivals often face limited budgets to support creative agencies, we offer our clients high-quality design and merch completely free of charge. Our main goal is to bring design to life. We select projects that align with our values, allowing us not only to develop our portfolio but also to find new sources of inspiration. Unconventional projects, such as the Transfiguration Biennial in Palekh, generate interest and open up new opportunities for development. This year, we launched a creative advertising campaign for Visit Ivanovo, a commercial venture aimed at attracting tourists and increasing awareness of the region. Our approach incorporates unique ideas and modern marketing strategies to effectively promote cultural events and attractions in the Ivanovo region.

Also read about the portal, firebird, and light at the first rural biennial of contemporary art. This event brings together art and nature, offering unique installations and projects that inspire new ideas and reflections. Learn more about contemporary art trends and their influence on our perception of the world around us. Don't miss the chance to be part of this cultural experience that expands horizons and immerses you in a creative atmosphere.

Strategist Oleg Trofimovich, together with the Visit Ivanovo team, developed the campaign slogan: "To small towns for big stories." Our goal was to create a visual metaphor that captures the spirit of the Ivanovo region and highlights the uniqueness of each city. We aim to draw attention to the cultural and historical characteristics of the region, showing that every corner of the Ivanovo region preserves its own fascinating stories and traditions.

Designer Katya Antonova proposed placing illustrations in the form of ornaments on chintz. This decision is no coincidence, as Ivanovo chintz is a symbol of the region. The simplicity and metaphorical nature of this approach inspire and reflect the cultural heritage of the region. This design style highlights the uniqueness and traditions of Ivanovo textiles, making them attractive to both locals and tourists interested in art and design.

The Dotorg team actively explores the concept of Russian identity. We closely observe artists who reimagine Slavic culture, which inspires our creativity. Understanding one's culture and history is an important step on the path to self-discovery. We strive to create visual images that reflect the richness and diversity of our cultural heritage.

Projects aimed at preserving and digitalizing discovered visual images play a vital role in the face of their potential loss. Vivid impressions from a trip to the Ivanovo region inspired us to create this project, which allows us to capture unique moments and images, preserving them for future generations.

The value of our work lies in the unique idea gleaned from our research. An analogy with the famous Ivanovo chintz served as the basis for the creation of a visual metaphor. I imbued my illustrations with my own emotions and deep meanings, which allowed them to resonate with local residents. This connection to the region's cultural heritage underscores the importance of originality and individuality in artistic expression.

Image: Dotorg

It is important to thoroughly research the project's topic and explore primary sources, especially visual imagery in ancient Russian art. We strive to see the cities with our own eyes to better understand their aesthetics. Before each project, we travel on business trips to immerse ourselves in the local history and culture, which lends each project its individuality and uniqueness. This approach allows us to create more meaningful and rich projects, based on real-world impressions and experiences.

For successful project execution, not only high-quality research but also a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary trends in art and design are crucial. It's important to stay up-to-date with the latest developments, draw inspiration, but also filter the information through your own perception and approach each project with soul. The creative process requires both analysis and an individual perspective, which allows us to create unique and sought-after solutions.

Innovative Office of Strana Development

The office design of Strana Development, developed by KIDZ studio, is a unique combination of living and working areas. The office is located in a residential complex on Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg and differs from traditional office spaces. It includes both individual offices and open space, as well as teamwork zones, which contributes to the creation of a "communal" atmosphere in the working environment. This approach to office design not only increases employee productivity but also creates a comfortable environment for interaction and collaboration.

Columns, clad in steel and painted in the signature gradient of Strana Development, are an important element of the modern interior. These columns not only act as load-bearing structures but also serve as expressive accents, aiding in navigation through the office space. Public areas are equipped with dynamic lighting systems that automatically adjust to the time of day: cool daylight promotes concentration, while warm evening light creates a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of home comfort. Such solutions not only improve the functionality of the space, but also enhance its aesthetic appeal.

Photo: Dmitry Suvorov / KIDZ
Photo: Dmitry Suvorov / KIDZ

According to Ruben Movsisyan, the project's lead architect, the use of a gradient in the interior is not only visually attractive, but also a functional solution. The gradient draws attention to the columns, which are often perceived as a disadvantage. In other projects, such as the Re-Feel pop-up, gradients play a key role in highlighting the brand's color palette, which contributes to improved logo recognition.

Despite the high cost of implementing gradient panels, the clients decided to use them, which significantly impacted the project budget. However, the planned incorporation of greenery into the office, which was intended to harmoniously complement the column gradients, did not take place.

The architecture and design of an office space play a key role in shaping a company's image. These aspects depend on both technical requirements and the unique needs of various departments. When designing an office space, it is important to consider functional requirements related to ergonomics, rather than limiting it solely to aesthetic preferences. An office is more than just a workplace; it is a reflection of the company's corporate culture and philosophy. The right combination of functionality and design helps increase employee productivity and create a comfortable working atmosphere.

Mesmerizing visualization of a black dot under a microscope

In partnership with a 3D designer Ilya Kovalenko, art director, and CG generalist Dima Flood developed a unique visualization that reveals hidden aspects of the mundane—a simple black dot under a microscope. This project allows viewers to see the world of small details from a new perspective, highlighting its astonishing complexity and beauty.

The storyline includes nine chapters and an epilogue, each rich with detailed elements and original visual effects. This makes the project engaging and captivating for the audience, allowing them to immerse themselves more deeply in the narrative atmosphere.

Image: DIMA FLOOD / Ilya Kovalenko / Behance

Art director and creative artist Dima Flood shares his impressions of the project: "UDOT initially emerged as visual experiments and research. It was not a strict concept, but thanks to creative ambition, the project transformed into something significant." A unique approach and a commitment to innovation allowed the project to evolve and attract attention, creating new opportunities for self-expression and creativity.

Linear storytelling is becoming increasingly important in the contemporary context. In this metaphor, a black dot, representing the element of research, is placed in a petri dish. It personifies a virus that comes to the surface and is subjected to detailed examination under a microscope. This image emphasizes not only the importance of scientific research but also the need for a systematic approach to data analysis in various fields. Linear storytelling helps structure information, making it more accessible for perception and analysis, which is especially relevant in scientific work.

3D design professionals often strive for complexity in visual concepts, but in this project, we focused on simplicity and clarity. This approach significantly enhanced the appeal of the final result. Simplicity in 3D design allows for better communication of ideas to the viewer and creates more memorable visuals. Optical effects are crucial to this story, emphasizing the significance of laboratory research. Every aspect, from complex lenses to the interaction of light and refraction, was carefully considered to create a harmonious visualization. These effects not only enhance perception of information but also help to deepen understanding of scientific concepts. Effective use of optics in a laboratory setting leads to more accurate results and expands the horizons of research. We created a unique visual approach that harmoniously combines aesthetic and stylish elements, emphasizing optical characteristics. These original effects were developed from scratch and are unparalleled in global design. Our solutions will help your project stand out, giving it a unique look and high competitiveness in the market.

Creative and non-commercial projects play a key role in the development of every artist. They provide the opportunity to experiment with new artistic techniques and modes of expression, and also foster collaboration with other professionals. Teamwork allows for the effective implementation of original ideas and the expansion of creative horizons. Such projects not only develop professional skills but also strengthen ties within the artistic community, creating a platform for the exchange of experience and inspiration.

When viewing my portfolio, clients notice not only the artist but also the creator. This allows them to appreciate my aesthetic taste and original approach to solving commercial problems. This perspective on my work helps establish trust and facilitates successful collaboration.

Vasily Podyadchikov emphasizes that the main goal was to create a modern luxury brand capable of successfully competing in the international arena. One of the key objectives of this project is the interpretation of cultural codes, which allows for a sincere and authentic approach to brand development.

Target audience analysis plays a crucial role in luxury marketing, as purchasing decisions in this segment differ from other categories. Unlike mass markets, where bright and expressive visual solutions attract attention, in the luxury sector, the emphasis should be on sophistication and restraint. Here, it is necessary to effectively convey information using minimal visual and textual resources. Understanding the characteristics of the target audience allows for the creation of more targeted and effective marketing strategies that emphasize the exclusivity and value of the product.

When developing a brand identity, it is important to define its character and image in advance. The visual concepts of famous jewelry brands such as Cartier and Chopard often do not correspond to modern trends. In contrast, Alrosa Diamonds draws inspiration from brands such as Loewe and Bottega Veneta, allowing it to create relevant and attractive images. This underscores Alrosa Diamonds' commitment to modernity and originality in design, making the brand more relatable and relatable to modern consumers.

The choice of fonts for the identity was influenced by the use of the minimalist sans-serif Suisse Int'l and the unique serif Canela. These fonts harmoniously combine sophistication and modernity. It's worth noting that the choice of fonts was limited, as there are currently no similar Canela variants in Cyrillic.

Variable Typeface CoFo Weather: Dynamic and Stylish

The CoFo Weather typeface by Contrast Foundry is more than just typography; it's art that transforms and adapts. This typeface gives designers the opportunity to create unique visual solutions, where each typeface brings personality to the project. Thanks to its variable forms, CoFo Weather is ideal for a variety of design tasks, allowing you to distinguish your brand and attract attention to your project.

CoFo Weather offers 60 unique typefaces, making it ideal for use in both display and body typography. This typeface offers versatility and flexibility, suitable for a variety of design projects and purposes.

Image: Contrast Foundry

The founders of Contrast Foundry share the story behind the CoFo Weather typeface. It was originally designed as a logo for a taxi service, embodying the concept of dynamic movement. Our goal was to create a typeface with a light and playful character. Over the course of its development, it evolved into a more complex typographic system, expanding its capabilities and applications. CoFo Weather has become not only a symbol but also a versatile tool for a variety of design solutions. The creation of the typeface began with hand sketches, which allowed the designers to explore unique forms and ideas before moving on to vector graphics. This stage became the basis for the development of several key characteristics of the typeface. Hand sketches helped identify original elements, which were then reworked and adapted for digital format. Through this process, the typeface acquired its individuality and style, making it appealing to a wide range of users. The soft and rounded shapes of the ovals create a dynamic visual effect that attracts attention and creates a harmonious perception. These design elements are ideal for modern interiors and graphics, adding fluidity and grace. Using ovals in various projects can significantly enhance aesthetics and create a cozy atmosphere. Diagonal cuts, which give strokes a modern and stylish look, are becoming increasingly popular in the fashion industry. They add dynamism and freshness to any look, emphasizing individuality and originality. Such cuts are ideal for creating both casual and evening outfits, making them more attractive and relevant. Use diagonal cuts to highlight your uniqueness and follow the latest trends. Elements such as E, k, and ж have a smooth taper, which gives them contrast and sharpness. These characteristics make the letters more expressive and easy to distinguish. Proper use of such elements in type design can significantly improve the readability of text and draw attention to key messages. Using different font widths in a single text is not a new concept, but for the Contrast Foundry team, it became a unique feature that significantly enriched the project. This technique allows you to create visually appealing and readable content, improving user comprehension. A variety of font widths helps highlight key points and adds dynamism to the text, which in turn facilitates more effective engagement with the audience. Contrast Foundry successfully applies this strategy, which makes their projects modern and relevant in the rapidly changing digital landscape.

Image: Contrast Foundry

We started out using bolder weights and didn't realize how varied the end results could be. With the current expansion to 60 weights, we've found that thinner versions like Condensed Italic perform exceptionally well, while Extended Black impresses with its characteristics.

Each CoFo Weather weight has a unique character and potential. Designers can effectively use it in projects where dynamism and expressiveness are key. This makes the font an ideal choice for sports brands and cultural art projects where vibrancy and individuality in visual presentation are essential. Using CoFo Weather in design helps convey energy and originality, which is especially relevant in modern creative initiatives.

Unique identity of Masa bakery Omsky Studio developed a unique visual concept for Moscow's Masa Madre bakery, inspired by Spanish panaderias. The Art Director of Omsky Studio is responsible for the creative direction and strategic planning of all projects implemented by the company. He creates unique concepts that reflect the brand's personality and manages a team of designers to achieve high-quality results. A visual arts specialist, Omsky's Art Director monitors the latest design trends and applies them in his work to ensure the competitiveness and originality of projects. His task is not only to form creative solutions but also to coordinate processes, ensuring effective interaction between all team members.

The creation of a unique visual style for Masa Madre and effective communication are achieved through a clearly developed idea and concept. A well-formulated concept allows the brand to stand out from the competition and establish strong connections with the target audience. A unique visual style based on these principles contributes to better perception and memorability of the brand.

The main metaphor of the visual identity is the image of bread growing on a tree. This idea had no direct source, but rather emerged from images captured in children's cartoons. As a result, it was successfully implemented in the photo shoot and logo. The image of bread embodies comfort, abundance, and a connection with nature, making it ideal for creating a memorable visual style.

Before starting design work, Omsky Studio always holds discussions, which helps identify the most successful ideas. For the Masa Madre project, we unanimously decided that the concept of bread on a tree perfectly suited our goals. This original solution emphasizes the creative approach and creates a unique visual image that will attract the attention of the target audience.

At the first concept presentation, the client chose a logo with surreal semantics. Our task was to develop the image of loaves on branches into a full-fledged identity. And although the idea for the shoot did not immediately arise, it soon became clear that the best way to showcase the product was to honestly depict bread growing on a tree. This approach emphasizes the uniqueness and originality of the product, and also creates associations with naturalness and freshness.

Typography with imperfect The alignment, offsets, spacing, and variety of fonts emphasizes the craft approach to production, creating a unique style and atmosphere for Masa Madre. This design not only attracts attention but also emphasizes the brand's personality, creating a memorable visual experience for customers.

For a deeper understanding of the Masa Madre identity creation process, it's helpful to explore the experiences of successful brands on the Behance platform. Here you'll find many inspiring projects that can serve as excellent examples for developing a unique visual style and shaping a corporate identity. Researching successful case studies will help you better understand the key design elements and approaches that contribute to the creation of an effective identity.

The Exquisite Slovo Font by Bolditalic

Bolditalic recently unveiled Slovo, a unique variable monolinear typeface inspired by pre-Petrine Cyrillic script. This project was the final stage of the graduate work of talented designer Olga Artemyeva, who refined the typeface under the expert guidance of art director Dmitry Golub. Slovo is distinguished by its originality and can be an excellent solution for a variety of design tasks, emphasizing the unique style and historical roots of the Cyrillic alphabet.

Slovo is not just a font, but a unique tool for designers, offering three stylistic sets: simplified, classic with elegant loops and swashes, and an authentic version. Thanks to this diversity, the Slovo typeface is ideal for a wide range of design tasks, from logos to advertising materials. Its versatility and style make it a valuable resource for graphic design and typography professionals. Olga has always been inspired by cursive writing. She noted that cursive writing classes with Marina Maryina had a significant impact on her when creating the new typeface. To gain a deeper understanding of the topic, Olga studied A.E. Chekunova's book "Russian Cyrillic Writing of the 11th-18th Centuries" and cursive documents. This enabled her to identify unique forms for the characters. Remarkably, a typeface called Slovo had not previously existed, making it a unique contribution to the world of typography. Slovo's condensed typeface has unique features: the swashes and ascenders inherent in the wide version are transformed into elegant and refined forms. These elements give the typeface expressiveness and complexity, making it ideal for use in a variety of typographic settings. With its elegance and clarity, Slovo's condensed typeface is suitable for both headlines and body text, providing a harmonious blend of style and readability. Slovo is a harmonious blend of traditional cursive and contemporary design. It is an excellent choice for branding and corporate identity development, highlighting a rich history while remaining relevant and modern. Slovo is perfect for those who want to create a unique visual image that will attract attention and stand out from the competition.

In our logo design, we incorporated a metaphor of naturalness, using smooth lines to reflect the key principles and atmosphere of our brand. We strive for effectiveness without unnecessary pretentiousness, offering simple solutions for caring for yourself and the environment. Svetlana Lomakina emphasizes that this approach allows us to create a unique and memorable image that aligns with our values and mission.

We went through numerous iterations while developing the palette and color codes for our product lines. Our primary goal was to create a brand that would not only be fashionable and memorable but also stand out from competitors in the eco-cosmetics market. We emphasized the uniqueness and relevance of the color schemes to attract the target audience and emphasize the eco-friendly nature of our products.

Implementing the identity was one of the most challenging tasks of our project. We understand that once the identity is developed, the work is just beginning. It was important to focus on the production of packaging and other style elements, as the brand update was carried out in stages. Therefore, we maintained active communication with manufacturers in China, selecting packaging and testing color samples to achieve the best result. This process allowed us not only to maintain the brand's integrity but also to improve its visual perception in the marketplace.

Comprehensive visual content was developed for the company's website, enhancing its appeal and functionality. The updated navigation system and new pages dedicated to various cosmetic lines significantly improve user experience and facilitate a better understanding of the products. This allows customers to quickly find the information they need and makes the cosmetics selection process more intuitive.

Interactive art: Saulux project from Splaces

Studio Splaces, located at the intersection of art and science, offers unique artistic objects that combine technology and nature. Their works, including sculptures and installations, actively utilize interaction with the environment. Artists use elements of programming, light, sound, and living organisms to create interactive works of art that immerse viewers in a new perceptual experience. Each project by Splaces emphasizes the importance of harmony between modern technology and nature, opening new horizons in the world of art.

This summer, visitors to Zaryadye Park were able to experience the interactive sculpture Saulux, which uses neural network technology to transform wind into a light-and-sound work of art. This unique combination of modern technology and natural elements attracted the attention of many people and became a shining example of the symbiosis of art and innovation. The interactive experience offered by Saulux allows everyone to feel a connection with the environment and see how nature can become part of contemporary art.

Creative producer and co-founder of Splaces, Andrey Shibanov, emphasizes that the use of nature-inspired technologies in their projects promotes a harmonious interaction between nature and modern innovations. These approaches not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also ensure sustainable development, which is especially important in today's world.

Project curator Christina Ots emphasizes that at Splaces.Studio, the main focus is on the harmony between technology and nature. Our goal is to create unique and intuitive installations that highlight this interaction. We strive to ensure that each work becomes a reflection of modern technology embedded in the natural environment and arouses interest and admiration in viewers.

The Saulux team adapted technologies used in previous projects, such as LETIBIT, to create a unique product. Inspired by images of reeds and cattails, this interactive sculpture submerged in water was developed. This project combines innovative technology and nature, making it not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional. The sculpture's interactive elements allow viewers to interact with it, creating a unique experience that highlights the harmony between art and nature.

Willow was chosen instead of cattails, proving a more suitable material due to its strength and flexibility. Willow is not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable, making the project resistant to various weather conditions. The use of willow ensures structural reliability and avoids frequent repairs, which is especially important for pieces exposed to the elements.

While the project lacks a rigorous scientific basis, it actively utilizes data and modern technologies. This allows viewers to not only enjoy the visual aesthetics but also immerse themselves in an educational atmosphere, exploring new aspects of nature and technological advances. Thus, the project creates a unique combination of art and knowledge, which helps to expand horizons and deepen understanding of the world around us.

Splaces sculptures offer a unique interaction with visitors, which helps improve their mood. Viewers have the opportunity not only to touch the sculptures but also to immerse themselves in an atmosphere where technology harmoniously blends with nature. This interaction opens new perspectives and allows them to see the familiar from a different perspective. Splaces' sculptures become more than just art objects; they become spaces for exploration and self-expression, creating deep emotional connections with the audience.

Splaces' works embody natural processes, allowing viewers to perceive them through a variety of senses. For example, the Saulux project transforms the force of the wind into soundscapes, evoking the gentle tinkling of grass blades and streams. These works of art create a unique experience of interaction with nature, enriching the emotional perception of the surrounding world.

Illustrations for an animation project

Anastasia Lobova, a talented illustrator, created a unique series of illustrations for the Papaton studio. These works of art serve as background elements for the animated short, adding depth and atmosphere. The visuals not only support the plot but also significantly enhance the emotional component of the story, making it more memorable and engaging for viewers.

All illustrations are black and white, accented with vibrant colors. This minimalist approach creates a rich and expressive visual space that attracts attention and creates a striking contrast.

Anastasia Lobova is a talented illustrator with a unique approach to creating her works. Her illustrations are distinguished by a deep understanding of the subject matter and meticulous attention to detail. Each project completed by Anastasia demonstrates her professionalism and creative vision, which makes her works in demand and memorable.

The story on which this project is based has deep significance. The animation, based on a script written by a schoolgirl, tells the story of children in an orphanage in the Kursk region in 1943. The main challenge was to find a visual language that would convey a child's perception while also reflecting the serious subject matter. The result is a work capable of drawing attention to important social issues and evoking emotions in viewers.

Under the guidance of art director Tasha Agievich, a naive style was chosen that imitates children's drawings while maintaining a strong composition and expressive graphics. The black-and-white background and characters in subdued colors create a contrast between the rich outside world and the fragile space of the home. This approach emphasizes the uniqueness of the visual narrative and draws attention to detail, creating an atmosphere of comfort and innocence.

The complexity of the work lay in the combination of various textures in the image. Anastasia initially planned to imitate textures using a single pencil. However, inspiration from Tasha led to the creation of more complex graphics. Anastasia credits Tasha for this influence, which helped her develop her skills and reach a new level of artistic expression.

While the settings in the illustrations are fictitious, Anastasia placed particular emphasis on authenticity, relying on photographs and references from the period. For example, the orphanage building and its interiors were detailed using historical materials, adding realism and depth to the scenes depicted.

The telephone, which may seem unusual by today's standards, was designed with historical references in mind. Telephone dials used before the 1960s featured both letters and numbers, creating a unique atmosphere from that era. This combination of symbols not only made dialing easier, but also reflected the nature of the times, when communication technologies were just beginning to develop.

Exhibition at the Museum of Surrealism: A Unique Experience and a Contemporary View

The NOU Museum, located in the historic El Raval district of Barcelona, is a significant cultural platform that brings together past and contemporary art. Its primary mission is not only to showcase artistic evolution from the 20th century to the present, but also to create a space for interaction between local residents and tourists. The museum actively promotes cultural exchange and development, drawing attention to contemporary artistic trends and providing access to a rich artistic heritage.

The SUR PLAY exhibition presents the works of 19 contemporary artists from around the world who explore interactions with classical elements of surrealism. This event draws attention to contemporary art and its connection to tradition. The exhibition's visual design, designed by Holystick Studio, lends a unique and fresh perspective, creating an engaging context for the discussion of creative ideas and approaches. The SUR PLAY exhibition becomes a platform for dialogue between the past and present in art, inviting viewers to delve deeper into the world of surrealism and its contemporary interpretations.

Art director and partner of Holystick studio, Mila Silenina, emphasizes the importance of typography in their work. She states: “We strive to create harmony between the irrational world of surrealism and the modern, welcoming image of the museum.” This approach integrates art and design, creating a unique visual experience that attracts attention and creates a memorable visitor experience.

She emphasizes that we strive for harmony between tradition and provocation, confirming that surrealism can manifest itself not only in sharp and dissonant forms, but also in smooth, almost familiar images. Surrealism, as an art movement, opens new horizons for the perception of reality, allowing us to explore the boundaries of norms and familiar ideas.

Surrealism explores the boundaries of perception, connecting the ordinary with the extraordinary. The typography in the exhibition promotes deep understanding, adding a surreal element to the familiar perception of letters and words. It transforms text into an artistic object, forcing viewers to rethink meaning and form. The combination of typography and surreal elements creates a unique visual experience that opens new horizons of perception and stimulates the imagination.

The exhibition design emphasizes Catalan red, which effectively highlights the project's architectural design. Dark turquoise adds an element of mysticism, creating an atmosphere of enigma that harmoniously blends with the spirit of surrealism. This approach to color palette not only attracts attention but also deepens the perception of the artworks, inviting viewers into a world where reality and fantasy intertwine.

Personal encounters with the space significantly enrich the experience, allowing for a deeper understanding of its context and target audience. In today's world, a variety of remote learning methods are available. Photo and video documentation, as well as interviews with curators, are effective tools for immersive learning. These methods not only help obtain information but also create an emotional connection with the object being studied, which in turn facilitates deeper perception and analysis.

We believe that the designer's primary task is to establish a connection between the viewer and the space. When this connection is established, the goal of the work is achieved. Creating a harmonious interaction between people and their environment is a key aspect of successful design. This allows you to not only attract attention, but also evoke an emotional response, which makes the space more meaningful and memorable.
