A project that made a strong impression on me as a typeface designer immediately after its release was the magazine "Moscow Heritage," developed by the team from Shchuka during a period when they focused on multi-page publications rather than identity. I was particularly drawn to the navigation in the Central Children's Store on Lubyanka, where almost all the letters featured curlicues. This experience helped me realize that future fonts shouldn't feature so many decorative elements at once.
Font designers often have their own favorite characters. An example is Erik Spiekermann, who noted in an interview his fondness for numbers. I won't claim that the letter "a" or the number "2" are my favorites, but I do have a number of alternative characters that first appeared in the Circe Slab font and then found their way into Circe Contrast. For example, Madeline Miller dedicated an entire novel to deconstructing the myth of Circe, and Julio Cortázar has a short story called "Circe." This image is also reflected in popular design, for example, in the Dark Goddess Tarot deck. Circe, as a character, continues to inspire artists and writers, which underscores her significance in culture and mythology.

Minimalistic design of a website dedicated to The website, which was designed for a winery development report, was enhanced by a font pairing of the Circe grotesque and the Cochin serif, a typeface popular in the early 20th century. This way, the book's visual rhythm remains balanced, without excessive contrast.
I've been using Circe in my designs for many years. It has become more of a classic of good typefaces than a temporary trend. The Wremena typeface, chosen for the book's layout, was relevant at the time and influenced my choice. MARCH is a yearbook, and I sought to reflect the spirit of a particular year. Design also played an important role: I wanted to highlight the beauty of the Wremena font, so I used large headings and subheadings to make the text more expressive.

This font is ideal for the design of children's encyclopedias, as it attracts attention and ensures ease of reading.
