Learn for free: "Neural Networks. A Practical Course"
Learn moreLeonardo AI is a popular neural network designed for creating images and animations. It attracts users with its high generation quality and a variety of available functions. It is especially important that Leonardo AI is available to users from Russia. In this article, we'll take a detailed look at all the features and conditions for using Leonardo AI, as well as its advantages compared to other tools on the market.
How to register for the Leonardo AI neural network
Go to the official Leonardo AI website and create an account. Registration is available via email or Google, Microsoft, or Apple accounts. You can use the web version of the service or download the app to your computer or smartphone for convenient access.
After registration, you'll gain access to Leonardo AI's core features. In free mode, your personal account will be replenished daily with up to 150 tokens, which will allow you to use the network's core tools. This will give you the opportunity to effectively work with the platform's functions and explore the capabilities of artificial intelligence.

Leonardo AI: Terms of Use and Plans
Leonardo AI offers free access to its capabilities, but please note that the set of tools will be limited. Users will have access to a small number of presets for image generation and basic quality settings. All generated images will be hosted in an open neural network library. It is also important to remember the 150 token limit, which must be taken into account when using the service.
There are four paid plans, including one corporate one. These plans offer significantly more features, including 8,500 tokens per month, customization of generation quality, and access to them, which is especially relevant for work projects. You can also train AI models using your own materials, share your workspace, and enjoy many other features.
Leonardo AI: How to Use the Neural Network, Interface, and Functions
The user's start screen contains several toolbars. Visually, the screen can appear overloaded, making it difficult to quickly understand its functionality. Let's consider this issue using the web version as an example, as the mobile interface has a more minimalist and intuitive design.
On the left side of the screen is a toolbar that provides information about the number of your tokens, access to the library of works, a list of available tools, and functions for users with advanced plans. Let's consider each element in turn.
- By clicking the Library button, you are taken to the page with your generations. There you can also go to the tab with updates from users you follow, works you've liked, and collections you've saved. Yes, in this regard, Leonardo AI works on the principle of social networks and forms a creative community.
- In the All Tools block, you can select the tool you want to work with: generate one or more images (Flow State option), a video, convert a hand sketch into a full-fledged illustration (Realtime Canvas), instantly generate images with the Realtime Generation function (AI will add details to the image as you enter a prompt), or improve the quality of finished images in the Universal Upscaler section. With the Canvas Editor, the user can edit individual sections of the image using a neural network via prompts.
- The Advanced section contains options that will be useful for experienced users of neural networks. These are Models & Training (training AI models on the Leonardo AI platform using your own images) and Texture Generation (creating realistic textures for 3D objects).
On the main page, in the central section, there is an additional control panel, located above the feed of other people's work. This panel duplicates the functions available in the toolbar on the left. Let's take a closer look at the basic tools that will help you work effectively with content.

First, open the tab "Image" by clicking it in one of the toolbars and go to the image generation page. Then, set the neural network's prompt and the main parameters that will determine the characteristics of your future image. Enter a text query in English. Try to include as much detail as possible so that the neural network can assemble a coherent image: the more detailed and structured the description, the more accurate the result. It's best not to give the neural network multiple options to choose from (for example, "a child eating a pear or a watermelon"), as it will most likely try to combine them. You can also set a Negative Prompt—a description of what shouldn't appear in the image. For example: blurry, low quality, distorted face. If nothing comes to mind, you can always use the neural network's hint: click the icon to the left of the Generate button, then New Random Prompt. You can also upload a reference image with a paid subscription.

Reading is an important aspect of self-development and acquiring new knowledge. It helps to broaden your horizons, improve critical thinking skills and increase your intelligence. Regular reading not only enriches your vocabulary but also fosters your imagination. To get the most out of reading, choose a variety of genres and authors to gain a deeper understanding of different perspectives and cultures. It's also important to discuss what you read with others to reinforce your knowledge and share ideas. Reading books, articles, and scientific research can significantly improve your quality of life and professional skills. Don't miss the opportunity to enrich yourself through literature.
Stable Diffusion Prompts: Nature and the City
Stable Diffusion offers unique opportunities for generating images using text prompts. In this article, we'll explore prompts that will help you create stunning visualizations of nature and urban environments.
Nature is an endless source of inspiration. Use prompts like 'green forest under sunlight', 'calm lake with mountains in the background', 'blooming garden in spring', or 'quiet beach at sunset'. These phrases will help you create vibrant and detailed images that capture the beauty of nature.
Urban themes also offer many options. Try prompts like 'busy city street at night', 'old town architecture with narrow streets', 'modern skyscrapers against the backdrop of sunset', or 'city center market filled with people'. These prompts will create dynamic scenes that capture the atmosphere of urban landscapes.
Experiment with different combinations of prompts and elements to achieve unique results. Stable Diffusion allows you to easily adapt prompts to your needs, creating striking images that reflect both natural and urban motifs.
- Select the AI model you want to use to generate the image. Leonardo offers both its own models and third-party ones (for example, FLUX, models based on Stable Diffusion XL). Each has its own characteristics: for example, some work better with fantasy styles, while others work better with realism. Keep in mind that the choice of model affects the cost of generation, and the range can be quite large: depending on the neural network, you can create an image for 10 tokens or 200.

- Customize the image style, such as Photorealistic, Anime, Fantasy, and so on. The selection of available styles depends on the AI model you choose.
- Specify the desired parameters of the future image: aspect ratio and size, contrast, transparency. In free mode, Leonardo AI will automatically create a package of four images based on the specified prompt (which is nice – for the cost of a one-time generation). You can change the number of images in the generation with paid plans.
- You can also enable the Seed option – a unique identifier code that the neural network can use for other generations and create images in the specified style.
- After you have configured the desired parameters, click Generate. In a few seconds (usually generation takes up to a minute), the platform will display one or more images generated based on your request.

Click the image to open it in full size. In this window, you can edit the image for additional tokens, improving its quality, removing the background, and using other available functions such as Edit, Upscale, and Remove Background. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can always revert to the original image.
The generated image can be easily downloaded to your computer with one click. You can also add it to your collection, mix it with another image, and create a unique result. This allows you to create original images and expand your creative possibilities.

Leonardo AI applies Motion and Several models of Google's Veo platform allow users to create high-quality, realistic videos based on text queries or animate static images. Only Motion 1.0 is available for free, costing 25 tokens per generation. More advanced features, such as Motion 2.0 and Veo, range in price from 300 to 2,500 tokens. These models offer users expanded opportunities to create unique and engaging video content.
The free mode of Leonardo AI lacks the ability to enter text prompts, limiting video creation to images. However, you can generate videos using the platform's basic features. Video creation in Leonardo AI is free and fairly straightforward, although the available options are not as diverse.
- Go to the Video section.
- Upload an image for animation. You can add a new one, choose from your own generations, or from a library of other people's work. Important: the image must be clear, with a distinct perspective or objects in focus - this will result in a smoother animation.
- Set the parameters for the video/animation. In free mode, you can choose the number of generated videos (from one to eight) and the Motion Strength. For realistic results, do not make it too high to avoid distortion.
- After specifying the settings, click the Generate button. Leonardo will analyze the image and apply the motion effect to it - this usually takes 20-60 seconds.
- Click on the resulting video to open it in full screen. The list of available options is short: you can download the video to your computer in MP4 format, change the playback speed, and add it to your collection. In free mode, you won’t even be able to delete the generated image—it will automatically be available to other users.

To To get started, go to the Universal Upscale section. A limited set of options is available in the free mode, so follow these steps:
- Upload the image you want to edit.
- Choose an image processing style (only four are available in the free mode), and adjust the Creativity Strength level of the neural network—how much influence it can have on the original image. You can also resize the image.
- Enter a text prompt (although this is optional).
- Click the Upscale button in the upper left corner. The neural network will edit the image in a few seconds, and it will cost 30 tokens.
