Learn: Personal Stylist
Learn MoreA competent stylist is always ahead of their clients, possessing deep knowledge of modern trends and the nuances that shape relevant visual images. In personal styling, the key aspect is the ability to stay in touch with reality, understanding which sources of information will help create practical and stylish images, and which should be used solely for general visual appeal. This approach allows the stylist not only to work effectively with clients but also to offer them solutions that match their personality and lifestyle.
Stylist Victoria Shevchenko shared with us her list of resources that she uses in her daily work. This set of tools helps her stay up to date with current trends and effectively complete her tasks.

A personal stylist is a professional who helps create an individual style and image. They analyze the client's body type, color type, personal preferences, and lifestyle to select the perfect outfits and accessories. A personal stylist's work includes not only clothing selection but also wardrobe care consultations, creating fashionable looks for various occasions, and assistance in creating a unique style.
Stylists can offer shopping services, helping with choosing clothes that will highlight the best features of a figure and conceal flaws. They can also teach clients the basics of combining items so that everyone can create stylish looks on their own.
With the help of a personal stylist, the clothing selection process can be greatly simplified and you can look impeccable in any situation. This is the perfect solution for those who want to look stylish and confident without spending a lot of time searching for the right clothes.
Websites
- Be sure to use the Vogue Runway app.
All new fashion house collections available for viewing can be found on specialized platforms if you don't have an invitation to the show. It's no secret that many brands and labels draw inspiration from there, including both mass-market and more upscale segments. This makes current trends and styles accessible to a wider audience, allowing you to follow fashion developments and adapt new items to your everyday life.
On the Vogue Runway platform, all photo reports are organized by brand, fashion week, city, and year. This provides a unique opportunity to explore the work of local and lesser-known brands, as well as to identify styling characteristics characteristic of various cultures, such as Asian or Arabic. By analyzing these collections, one can observe how cultural traditions and local trends influence fashion decisions and approaches to style.

- Scroll through the catalogs of the American brand The The Row.
I prefer to study the looks of models on their website and other marketplaces. Minimalism may seem monotonous to some, but I consider it a valuable source of inspiration. It helps develop a keen eye and shape your own style, which is especially important for those seeking to improve their fashion skills.
On the one hand, I believe that simplicity should be the starting point, and The Row's visual style reflects this idea. On the other hand, I confidently assert that creating such simple and seemingly "boring" outfits is the most difficult task. Such images require a careful approach to the choice of fabrics, cut and details so that they look elegant and harmonious.

Social networks
- In continuation of the previous point: Follow Therowcollection.
I don't follow many people on Instagram, and I usually only look at 5-6 accounts. One of them is Therowcollection, which is truly inspiring. This account collects looks from people all over the world using The Row pieces and reposts stylish looks. Therowcollection allows you to follow current fashion trends and get inspired by unique combinations of clothes from The Row.
- I also recommend the account of the Russian brand Sanchy.
This brand has an excellent selection, including modern pieces made from high-quality fabrics. The inspiration they draw from social media is also noteworthy. The brand's pages publish professional photo shoots that attract the eye, and they also actively repost "live" looks from customers. I especially enjoy studying stories with reposts of these looks, as they help better understand the style and approach to fashion.

- There is much to be inspired by the Russian brand Choux.
Aesthetically complex shooting and styling include a harmonious combination of color palettes, textures and unexpected combinations objects. These elements create unique visual images that attract attention and spark interest. The use of varied textures and contrasting colors allows for original compositions that highlight individuality and creativity. It's important to consider not only the visual component but also the emotional response each detail evokes. Thus, aesthetically complex shoots become not just images, but true works of art reflecting a unique style and concept.

- It is worth paying attention to what the brand publishes 12Storeez.
The team at this brand excels at creating trendy outfits of stylish and practical pieces that are easy to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe. I often enjoy studying their "stories" in the app, where they demonstrate new looks and inspire me to update my own style.

- Follow stylists or fashion influencers who dress differently than you would like To expand your fashion horizons, it's helpful to follow more than just those whose style you find relatable on social media. Even if you're a minimalist, it's worth checking out accounts like Emili Sindlev's for new ideas and inspiration. Diversifying your sources of information will help you better understand fashion trends and develop your own style.

Where to Find Trends
Now let's discuss how a stylist can stay on top of current trends. It's important to constantly monitor new fashion trends, study current designer collections, and attend professional events. Subscribing to fashion magazines and blogs, as well as participating in webinars and master classes, will help broaden your horizons and stay ahead of the curve. Furthermore, networking with colleagues and sharing experiences also helps develop skills and understand current trends. It's important not only to keep up with changes but also to be able to adapt them to your clients' individual styles, which will make a stylist's work more sought-after and successful.
It's important to constantly research the assortment and collections of various retailers, brands, and brands. This is necessary to stay on top of current trends and market offerings. A good knowledge of available brands will help you better meet your customers' needs and make more informed decisions when choosing products. Regularly analyzing your assortment will help you identify new business opportunities and stay competitive.
A deep and thorough analysis requires a significant amount of time and attention. Only then will you be able to understand which brands are at the forefront, what features and details other companies are imitating, and what direction seasonal trends are heading in your region. This knowledge will help you stay relevant and competitive in the fashion world.
I usually only use Pinterest to find neutral backgrounds for Stories. Otherwise, I don't share the general enthusiasm for this platform as a prime source of inspiration for stylists. Pinterest's main drawback is its algorithm, which suggests a multitude of images it deems appropriate. However, among them there are often outdated, irrelevant and low-quality images. This makes it difficult to analyze and select images that are truly worth attention, and also makes it difficult to determine which of them are useless in the current season or for a particular client.
