«Similarity Index»

Three new exhibitions have opened at the GES-2 Community Center, one of which is called "Similarity Index." This project brings together both artistic and non-artistic research dedicated to Earth and our planet. The exhibition's name comes from the similarity index, which is a measure of the degree to which other celestial bodies resemble Earth. Using this index, scientists from various fields, including biology, chemistry, astronomy, and planetology, are seeking to determine whether life could exist on certain celestial bodies. The exhibition features numerous videos and films, so each visitor is provided with headphones upon entry. It is recommended to set aside a full day for a visit to deeply understand how suitable our planet is for life and whether it is suitable for us.
Where and when
The GES-2 Cultural Center is located at 15 Bolotnaya Embankment.

"Stitches and lines"

The "Art of Living at Home" project, organized by the Pushkin Museum, focuses on the study of memorial apartments, estates, residential buildings, and city streets through the prism of contemporary art. The team organizes exhibitions, theatrical productions, and lectures not only in Moscow, but also in cities such as St. Petersburg, Vladikavkaz, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, and Tomsk.
The Moscow portion of the project is dedicated to Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol. In his final years, he lived in an estate on Nikitsky Boulevard and enjoyed handicrafts. Textile masters have gathered in this house to create various scenes from the life of this outstanding writer using cutting, sewing, and embroidery.
Where and when is it held?
The N.V. Gogol Memorial Museum and Scientific Library is located at 7A Nikitsky Boulevard.
The event will run from May 16 to June 30, 2024.
"From Color to Light"

The exhibition is dedicated not only to the artist's work, but also to his key researcher, Anna Chudetskaya (1958–2023). She held the position of keeper of the Vladimir Weisberg fund in the department of private collections of the Pushkin Museum and is the author of a monograph entitled "From Color to Light." The artist himself described his "invisible" painting as "the architecture of valera." It is definitely worth seeing it in person, because white in this context is never just white.
Where and when
The gallery, dedicated to the art of European and American countries, is located at 14 Volkhonka Street.
From March 26 to June 30, 2024.
"Gravity at Winzavod"

The title of the exhibition, dedicated to the theme of anxiety, is “What are you afraid of?” simultaneously asks a question and offers a path to action.
"In this situation, it can be interpreted as follows: act, and perhaps your fear will simply disappear," says exhibition curator Elena Selina.
Some artists who graduated from the Winzavod Open Studios merely share their experiences, while most demonstrate ways to overcome them. This exhibition is therapeutic in nature and is intended for those who, in the words of Anna Brandush, fear "dying without living" or encountering only red traffic lights on their way to their goal.
Where and when it takes place
Center for Contemporary Art "Winzavod", "White Workshop", "Red Workshop", 4th Syromyatnichesky Lane, Building 1/8.

"The Entropy System"

Entropy is a measure of disorder, encompassing everything from the cosmos to human interactions. Street artist Petro has captured this concept in his unfinished, collage-like works.
