Find out moreUntil August 1st, BoscoVesna is hosting Irina Korina's exhibition "The Nature of Things. Renewal." This project explores the interaction between humans and nature, focusing on the transformation of familiar objects in art. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see how elements of nature can be reimagined and presented in a new light, creating a dialogue between the environment and contemporary art. Don't miss the chance to attend this significant event and immerse yourself in a world of creative reimagining.
A unique composition consisting of eclectic installations placed both in the shopping areas and on the building's façade is on display at the Arbat Shopping Center. This work is structured similar to a novel, where each chapter reflects the artist's reflections on the relationship between the natural and man-made worlds. The artist shares with us how this project differs from traditional museum and street art, and describes her audience.

The Russian artist, twice awarded the Innovation Prize, actively participates in international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale. In 2023, she headlined the Archstoyanie festival, underscoring her significance in the contemporary art scene.
The work's key imagery includes spring, a thaw, and the architectural elements of an old estate. These elements are linked by the theme of renewal and rebirth. Spring and the thaw symbolize the awakening of nature, a new beginning, and hope. The architectural elements of the old estate, in turn, reflect history and cultural heritage, creating a contrast between the temporal and the eternal. Together, they form a harmonious unity that emphasizes the beauty and significance of both nature and human creativity.
I want to appeal to everyone's memory and remind everyone of wonderful country excursions that offer a unique opportunity to see classic architectural monuments. These structures, decorated with images of flowers, leaves, and people, reaffirm the connection between culture and nature. Importantly, elements that unite human creativity and the natural world create harmony and inspiration. Such excursions not only enrich our cultural experience, but also remind us how art can be a reflection of nature.

One of the works is called "April 14th." This day became a landmark event that left a significant mark on history. Many important events occurred on April 14th, each of which had its own impact on society, culture, and science. It is important to note which aspect of this day inspired the author to create the work. Exploring the events of April 14th allows for a deeper understanding of the context of the work and its significance.
The question is truly interesting and touches on the essence of the entire work, as many significant events occurred on April 14th. Outstanding figures such as Denis Fonvizin, Viktor Borisov-Musatov, as well as Lidia Vertinskaya, a talented artist and actress, and Pyotr Mamonov were born on this day. These names have become important milestones in the history of culture and art, embodying the diversity and richness of the human experience.
On April 14, 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg, becoming one of the most tragic maritime disasters. This event captured the world's attention and has become the subject of numerous studies and artistic interpretations. In 1923, the Nauka publishing house was founded, becoming an important center for the distribution of scientific literature in Russia. In 1927, the first Volvo car rolled off the assembly line in Gothenburg, Sweden, ushering in the era of Swedish automobile manufacturing and making the company one of the largest car manufacturers in the world. These events became significant milestones in history, reflecting both technological advances and cultural changes.
The essence of my work is that everything matters. Every element, every detail plays a role and influences the overall result. It's important to consider all aspects to achieve maximum effectiveness.
My project explores the idea of a lack of hierarchy, emphasizing that nothing is more important or less significant. The date April 14th has a unique meaning for each person. This date symbolizes spring and renewal, making it especially meaningful. As part of the project, I highlight an object called "April 14th," which reflects the beauty and individuality of this time of year.

You You divide spaces into "protected" and "unprotected." What does this mean? Protected spaces provide a high level of security and access control, while unprotected areas are designed for open interaction and a lower level of protection. This distinction is important for the effective management of information and resources, as well as for maintaining security standards. Proper separation of spaces helps minimize risks and enhance data protection.
A "protected" space is a prepared environment for interaction. Here, a conversation takes place between the artist and the viewer, in which each participant is already familiar with the context. This is not a random encounter of strangers on the street, but a conscious dialogue, where everyone is open to the opportunity to communicate. In such a space, an atmosphere of trust and openness is created, promoting a deep perception of art and the establishment of a connection between participants.
I am ready to engage in dialogue with the viewer, but at the moment I do not plan to implement street projects in places saturated with urban drama. A certain level of protection and a comfortable atmosphere are important to me, where the viewer can truly encounter the art. Currently, it is difficult for me to find the right approach to street art, since this genre does not yet lend itself to my perception.

The viewer is prepared to encounter your works of art at BoscoVesna thanks to a carefully thought-out exhibition concept and the coverage of key themes. We create a context that allows viewers to understand and appreciate each work. Interactive elements, information materials, and an immersive atmosphere stimulate interest and deepen the perception of art. In this way, we create not just an exhibition, but an entire experience that promotes a deeper understanding and interaction with your works.
This is a unique and interesting situation. The space in question symbolizes protection. Bologna's galleries impress with their beauty and historical significance. They are an architectural achievement that has become an important part of the city's cultural heritage. Galleries and colonnades were created in collaboration with local merchants and shopkeepers, which adds value and significance to their urban context.
Protection from rain and sun allows passersby not to stop, but to continue their journey, exploring new shops. This creates an atmosphere of comfort and safety, allowing people to enjoy shopping without having to shelter from the elements. The BoscoVesna store is completely open to pedestrians, making it accessible to everyone. There's no ticket requirement, as in museums or galleries, which underscores the space's democratic appeal.
I decided to view this space as an architectural structure, perhaps an ancient ruin or an open social space accessible to everyone. It creates an atmosphere conducive to dialogue and interaction between people. This space not only attracts with its aesthetics, but also becomes a comfortable platform for exchanging ideas and opinions.

Zritel This project's target audience is interested in its topic. It includes people of various ages and backgrounds seeking to gain new knowledge or develop their skills. These can range from students to professionals seeking inspiration or practical advice. Viewers value quality content and actively participate in discussions, sharing their opinions and experiences. Understanding the needs and interests of this audience allows us to create more relevant and engaging content, which contributes to increased engagement and popularity of the project.
These are people who take their time. They appreciate every moment, recognizing the importance of a slow and mindful approach to life. Such people are more likely to pay attention to details, enjoy the process, and find harmony in everyday affairs. Their calm and poise allow them to better cope with difficulties and make informed decisions. In today's hectic world, it is important to remember the value of slowing down and enjoying the moment.
I envision these will be people of different ages. For example, travelers who have visited a city may experience fatigue after a full day of walking. Seeking comfort and rest, they seek refuge in an enclosed space where they can relax and enjoy the surrounding atmosphere. Such places provide an opportunity not only to relax but also to meet new people and share impressions of their adventures.
Visitors in a shopping center can be varied. Among them, there may be people who do not plan to shop, for example, parents with children seeking shelter from the rain. In the shopping center, you can also encounter people simply relaxing or waiting for an appointment. These visitors are unhurried and spend time searching for a comfortable place to relax or socialize. Consistency in work is key to success. It helps organize tasks, optimize processes, and increase productivity. The correct sequence of actions helps avoid errors, save time and resources. Furthermore, the structure and order of tasks contribute to better understanding and control of the project. It is important to remember that consistency not only simplifies current tasks but also lays the foundation for future achievements. Effective planning and adherence to the sequence of actions become the key to the successful implementation of any goals. In fact, I like project elements to be hidden and discovered unexpectedly. This creates a collecting effect. Imagine moving through different floors and finding parts of the project in different places. It doesn't matter if something goes unnoticed or is found out of the intended sequence. It's important for the viewer to be able to use their imagination and create their own perception.
The titles of each chapter are easily recognizable and represent classic literary formulas. They instantly evoke associations with novels or short story collections. These elements create the basis for the narrative, allowing each reader to imagine their own unique interpretation of the story.

This work can be A work of art is classified into several genres, depending on its content and style. It can be classified as fiction if it features fictional characters and a plot. If the work is based on real events and facts, it can be classified as documentary or non-fiction. Also, depending on the subject matter, it can fit into the genres of scientific, philosophical, or social work. Expanding the genre palette, one can also mention such genres as essays or critical articles if the text includes personal reflections or analysis. Thus, the genre affiliation of this work can be quite diverse and multifaceted.
In recent years, the theater arts have seen a rise in the popularity of experimental forms, such as wandering performances and other innovative approaches. These formats emphasize the active involvement of the audience, which is a key element of their success. It's important for the viewer to not just observe but to become part of the action, which in turn enriches the theatrical experience and creates a unique atmosphere of interaction.
The genre of this work is determined not only by my intentions. Initially, it seemed that the help of poets or poetic ability were necessary to create a full-fledged story. However, in reality, it can be either a comedy or a tragedy. Ultimately, the choice of genre is up to the viewer.
Working in a store is closely linked to the surrounding elements that form a unique space. The decoration, interior, and furnishings of the store play a key role in creating an atmosphere that influences the shopping experience. Proper display design, merchandise arrangement, and use of lighting can significantly enhance the appeal of a store. Furthermore, the style and design of the space can reflect the values and identity of the brand, which helps establish an emotional connection with customers. Thus, the interaction between employees and the environment is an important aspect of successful retail, contributing to increased sales and strengthening customer loyalty.
Hanging fabrics with unique textures have always captured my attention. I love surrounding myself with a variety of clothing items in different colors and textures, creating an interesting atmosphere. My goal was to camouflage and conceal my objects so that they weren't immediately noticeable but could be discovered unexpectedly. This creates an element of surprise and intrigue, making the process of interacting with the space more engaging.
I actively use a variety of fabrics created specifically for this project. They are based on my photos of spring fields taken with my phone during a vacation at the dacha. These fabrics could also be used for sewing outfits. They hang elegantly and form original draperies, harmoniously fitting into the space of the store.

Various difficulties arose during the preparation of the project. First, it was necessary to collect and systematize information, which required a significant investment of time. Second, collaboration with the team was often difficult due to differences in approaches and visions of the end result. The technical aspects of the project also presented challenges, including the selection of appropriate tools and technologies. Finally, meeting deadlines and managing resources added additional workload to the team. All of these factors required careful coordination and constant monitoring.
I frequently collaborate with museums and galleries, using a variety of materials, such as fabric, welded iron, and prefabricated objects. All works are created in collaboration with various contractors.
The project proved to be quite complex, as the BoscoVesna shopping center doubled as a museum. Bringing together numerous contractors to create the exhibits was a significant task, typically the responsibility of museum professionals. This process was challenging, and I am grateful that we were able to successfully complete this undertaking.
The large inflatable sculptures were created by Aerodinamika, a company that has specialized in producing inflatable equipment for various commercial enterprises for many years. The company actively collaborates with artists working in a variety of materials: some create metal structures, others craft objects from foam, and theater studios sew soft sets. Combining these diverse approaches proved challenging, but we achieved impressive results.
