President of the Russian In an interview with RIA Novosti, Olga Vasilyeva, head of the Academy of Education, emphasized the urgency of attracting young teachers to schools. She noted that among the 1.5 million working teachers, a significant portion—a third—are of retirement age. This situation raises serious concerns about the staffing of educational institutions. One of the main reasons why graduates of pedagogical universities do not choose to work in schools is low salaries. However, real steps to improve working conditions and increase salaries for teachers have only recently begun to be taken. It is important to continue the discussion and search for solutions to ensure the future of Russian education.

The reason may not be solely financial. The President of the Russian Academy of Education announced that in 2022, the academy will initiate a comprehensive study entitled "Portrait of a Modern Student—Future Teacher." The purpose of this study is to analyze the motivations of young people and their expectations of the teaching profession. This will help to better understand the needs and aspirations of future education specialists.

SuperJob conducted a survey among schoolchildren's parents to understand their satisfaction with the quality of education. The results revealed an interesting trend: as children age, so does the level of parental dissatisfaction with the educational process. The question remains whether this is due to the fact that the quality of education is actually declining in middle and high school, or because older students are becoming less motivated and less receptive to parental advice, such as, "You have to try harder!"

What is the proportion of weak students in schools and what causes this?

The educational company Maximum Education conducted a survey of a thousand teachers from across the country, as reported by Lenta.ru. During the study, teachers assessed the number of struggling students in their classes and shared their opinions on the reasons for their academic failure. Teachers noted a lack of effective methods for working with challenging students, as well as a lack of administrative support and modern technological tools, such as interactive assistants for checking homework and organizing tests. Furthermore, teachers cited a lack of parental oversight and a lack of motivation among students to improve their knowledge. These findings highlight the need for a comprehensive approach to the educational process to improve student achievement and engagement.
